Here's a list of William Stanek books I'm working on: SQL Server Administrator's Pocket Consultant, 2012 A Writer's Life, 2012 The Cabal and Harry Potter: Misinformation in the Internet Age Fun fact: I have six graphic novels in the pipeline. Four are in process (in the drawing, penciling, inking, lettering phases); two to be started. Each graphic novel is being released incrementally as a comic, and will also be novelized (so eventually available as traditional novels). Each tells an all new story and features a particular character from the books. A Daughter of Kings is the first to be released. |

Updates & News (Oct 10) Finally updating the pages here. It'll take me a while to work through them. A quick note for "Battle for Ruin Mist RPG" gamers: A game system update is coming. I hope to make the update supplement available to those who have purchased the rule guide for *free*. (Jun 09) Wanted to give everyone a quick update on current projects. My newest book, Windows PowerShell 2.0 Administrator's Pocket Consultant was just released. Working my way through edits on Windows 7 Administrator's Pocket Consultant, which is out next. Started work on a new Exchange Administrator's Pocket Consultant and Windows 7 The Definitive Guide. Both out in fall/winter. Seems I need to write 24x7 to keep up. Hope you enjoy the books! (Apr 09) I'm excited about the upcoming release of the Czechoslovakian editions of my Ruin Mist books. It was great to receive emails from the translator and hear the good news that the work is final. The latest Administrator's Pocket Consultants to be translated into Spanish are SQL Server 2008 APC and Windows Server 2008 APC. (Mar 09) I'm pleased to let you know about a significant milestone in my writing career: my 100th book, being published in 2009 by Microsoft. I hope you'll agree it's a pretty good achievement for a hard-working kid from the inner city who finally managed to make his way through college a decade after most of his contemporaries.
(Feb 09) I began work on Bugville Critters many years ago (in the 1990's) and finally in 2007 the first set of books were published. This set includes: Visit Dad and Mom at Work Have Trouble At School You can learn more about the books at bugville.reagentpress.com. Dear Reader, I'm pleased to introduce you to The Bugville Critters.
Visit Dad and Mom at Work
Go to School I wrote the Bugville Critters books as bedtime stories for my children. The stories address the real issues and challenges my children faced as they started school, made friends, and started to learn about the world around them. The stories provide real lessons about life, friendship, family, our world, the natural world of which we are all a part, and our environment. My children have enjoyed hearing the stories for many years. As they got older, they urged me to bring the stories to life for other children to enjoy, and in 2007 I was finally able to do just that. Here's a list of some related sites you might be interested in: I also invite you to discover the amazing books and world created by 14-year-old wonder kid J R King. King's Arianna Kelt and the Wizards of Skyhall is better than many contemporary young adult novels written by adults. Anyone who loves Harry Potter, Eragon, or Artemis Fowl is sure to love it.
